Digital technology has become a defining force in shaping how societies include, or exclude diverse groups. This session brings together scholars and practitioners from China, Qatar, and other regions of the Global South to explore the multiple pathways through which digital innovation fosters social inclusion. From community-based empowerment and digital philanthropy to technology-driven value creation and social resilience, the session showcases how digital tools can help bridge divides, amplify voices, and cultivate empathy and participation. By combining academic insights with grassroots practices, it aims to spark cross-regional dialogue and collective reflection on building a more inclusive digital future.
